I went to STMC (South Texas Motor Company, Poteet-Jourdantant HWY, Palo Alto Rd )for a brake issue on a referral from a Walmart employee. Since Walmart doesn't work on breaks. Thank you, Walmart! I explained my brake issue about the brake pedal going lower than I thought it should. After the mechanic checked my brakes, explained the issue, and that I didn't really need the brakes repaired and made a minor adjustment. They told me the signs of break failure and that I was ready to go. I offered to pay for the check-up. But they refused. These guys are very knowledgeable, honest, and fair with their cost. They have a very clean and customer friendly business. I will definitely patronize their business in the future. Their practice exceeds their great reviews.
So I have becoming her for about a year in a half , and have always received great service .Got work done on Honda civic , Dodge challenger and just recently my mothers Toyota corolla . Type of work done ( oil pan, 2 radiators replaced , coils , spark plugs and some electrical problems dealing with my dashboard and ignition , and Lastly I get my oil changes here too .) Never had any issues afterwards with none of the work done with my cars but I know if I did they would take care of me .I trust my cars here , they are always there to answer any questions i ever had and also explained and broke it down to where i could understand . Any time i have an issue Chris at south Texas Motors is the first person I call he is patient and I don’t feel rushed off the phone that is very important cause car work is expensive .I would recommend South Texas motors to anyone . I guarantee you won’t be disappointed !

Please do not trust this shop. They charged me an extra $80.00 for the parts. And still didn't repair the problem. Then Chris tried to sale me on the new solution. He doesn't inspect things and just strarts repairing what he thinks is wrong. And if the original work doesn't solve the problem, well we can throw more parts and labor at it. And we're going to charge almost double what it will cost somewhere else.
I've been coming here for years. I absolutely love everything about this small business. Affordable, great quality quick and friendly. You must learn for yourself.
